Celebration of colour

Inspiration comes when you least expect it. But you will know when it happened. You will feel it.
A while ago the song and especially a hard to find video clip from Bjorks Who is it really touched me. The simplicity and absurdity of the bell covered costumes, the Islandic landscape, the song that was composed using only voices and bells all contributed to that feeling of enlightenment. I really admire Bjork for finding and working with the people who create such pieces of art.
Or the wonderful little book The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy & Other Stories written and illustrated by Tim Burton just blew me right out of my socks when I got it for my birthday from my loved one. The superb combination of his absurd child like simplicity and adult black humor. The witty poems and stories. And finally the beautiful drawings. This guy is a genius in his own way.

And just a couple of minutes ago I saw this amazing, simple and absurd, clip from Sony for the celebration of colour. The clip sports 250,000 multicolored 'superballs' bouncing down the streets of San Francisco. Shot in slow-motion it's just one of those amazingly beautiful things to watch. Simplicity can be of such beauty.
If only feeling inspired happened more often. I hope you enjoy.
